Decatur, GA – Rollover Collision with Injuries on Rainy Roadway on I-20

Decatur, GA (May 6, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a rollover accident that took place on a roadway in Decatur on Friday morning, May 6.

Decatur officials confirmed that the accident happened around 9:49 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Candler Road. Several vehicles collided on rainy roads, which caused one of the vehicles to overturn forcefully. The vehicle turned completely upside-down and sustained extensive damages to the vehicle.

Car Accidents in Georgia

In major cities on our highways, car accidents can happen in the blink of an eye. Many individuals are involved in car accidents over their lifetimes within the state, whether minor or severe in nature. These accidents take on a variety of forms but rollovers are known for being some of the most severe. In one recent year, over 2% of car accidents were deemed rollover accidents. After a car accident, you will need to show that another party is at fault for the collision. This is not always easy to do, because the other party could try to pin the blame on you and say that they were not at fault. This is why you should speak with an attorney that you can rely on as soon as possible.

Having the help of a Decatur car accident attorney on your side can be beneficial in many ways after you have sustained harm in a collision. Often times, the driver of the other involved vehicle is to blame for your accident. However, there could be other parties at fault as well, including the following:

  • Manufacturer of a defective car part
  • A third or fourth involved vehicle
  • The institution that served a driver alcohol
