
Dalton, GA (February 20, 2023) – Around 12:53 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, a truck accident with injuries took place on a Dalton highway.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of mile marker 350. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in a Chevrolet Cobalt when they were involved in a collision with a commercial vehicle before the right lane came to an end. The Cobalt when collided with a Freightliner that was parked on the shoulder of the highway.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. EMS crews were seen assisting several victims with injuries at the scene. It is not known if the parties were hospitalized.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked in the area. This led to extensive delays until police were able to clear the scene.
