South Carolina Deadly Pedestrian Crashes
A pedestrian has very little protection in the event of a collision. As a result, they are more likely to sustain potentially fatal injuries. There were 5,376 pedestrian deaths in the United States in 2015. According to national statistics, a pedestrian was killed every 1.6 hours on average that year, with a pedestrian injury every 7.5 minutes. Pedestrian fatalities are on the rise in the United States, with a nearly 10% increase in 2015.
You should file a wrongful death claim if a loved one was killed in a car accident. These claims are governed by a number of complicated rules, including who can file a claim and when a wrongful death claim in South Carolina is appropriate. A wrongful death lawsuit is an option when the at-fault party was the direct cause of the victim’s death. With the help of a Columbia car accident lawyer, a representative of the deceased should file the claim and attempt to prove the defendant’s negligence.
