Columbia, SC – Passenger Killed in Car Crash at I-77 & Fort Jackson Blvd
Columbia, SC (December 12, 2021) – Three people were injured and one killed in the aftermath of a single-vehicle crash in Columbia on Sunday morning, December 12. The deadly crash was reported at the intersection of Interstate 77 and Fort Jackson Boulevard at around 12:30 a.m.
Local reports revealed that a 2011 Crown Victoria with four occupants was headed southbound on the interstate. For unknown reasons, the driver left the right side of the road and crashed into a tree. One passenger suffered fatal injuries in the accident. The driver and two other passengers were taken to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.
The identity of the deceased party has not been revealed at this time. An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
