Chickamauga, GA (December 19, 2022) – Around 8:30 p.m. on the night of Sunday, December 18, a hit-and-run rollover accident took place in Chickamauga.
According to Walker County officials, the accident happened on Grand Center Road around the area of Marble Top Road. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in a red sedan in the area when a driver suddenly pulled into her lane. She swerved out of the way to miss them, causing her vehicle to crash off the side of the road and overturn. Debris was left scattered all over the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The woman driving the red sedan sustained injuries as a result of the accident. She was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital by ambulance, though her current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes in the area of the accident. Police worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
