Chester, SC – Update: Treshawn Simmons, Three Others Killed in Head-On Crash on I-77

Chester, SC (September 14, 2022) – The identities of the three men who were killed in a head-on collision in Chester on Sunday, September 11, have been released to the public. 

On Interstate 77 at around 3:10 a.m., a Honda Civic was involved in a head-on crash with a Chevrolet pickup truck. The driver of the Chevy reportedly crossed the center line and hit the oncoming Honda. The driver of the pickup and the Honda, along with two passengers in the Civic, were killed in the crash. 

The deceased occupants of the Honda were later identified as 29-year-old Treshawn Simmons, 29-year-old Daniel Ewing III, and 20-year-old Thomas Grant III. Another passenger in the Honda was hurt and transported to a local hospital. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is underway.
