Hit-&-Run Crashes in South Carolina
According to data, the number of hit-and-run collisions and deaths is on the rise. In 2015, there were an estimated 737,100 hit-and-run accidents. Every 43 seconds, a hit-and-run accident occurs somewhere in the United States. The 2,049 people killed in hit-and-run accidents in 2016 was the greatest number ever reported
Over the last decade, South Carolina has grown increasingly pedestrian-friendly. People are taking to the streets increasingly regularly, whether for a leisurely stroll or a brisk run for exercise and entertainment or as a daily method of transit to the shop or work as a healthy form of transportation. However, all pedestrians are at risk while walking on or near South Carolina highways. Because pedestrians have little protection when confronted by a motor vehicle, pedestrian accidents remain among the most hazardous of all traffic incidents.
Few individuals anticipate being badly hurt in a pedestrian accident, yet thousands of pedestrians are harmed every year throughout the state and need legal help to collect damages. A personal injury lawyer is advised since many wounded parties are unclear about how to obtain compensation for their injuries following an accident. Monge & Associates’ legal team is dedicated to ensuring that you obtain the justice you deserve, and we think that victims of vehicle accidents are entitled to a complete recovery.
