Bicycle Accidents in South Carolina
According to a recent report, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that there are 21.1 fatal bike accidents per 10,000 bike commuters in South Carolina each and every year. Although obviously not every bicycle accident ends in fatalities, the overwhelming majority of them do. On a yearly basis, there are around 508 bicycle accidents recorded in the state of South Carolina.
Even when the rider is equipped with protective gear like helmets, knee and elbow padding, and gloves, bicycle accidents can occasionally be fatal or result in catastrophic injuries. This is true even when the cyclist is wearing protective gear like the aforementioned. The majority of the rules of the road that apply to motor vehicles also apply to bicycles, thus they must obey these rules.
Few individuals believe they will suffer severe injuries in the case of an accident. According to statistics, hundreds of serious accidents involving cyclists take place every year across the state, necessitating legal representation in order to receive compensation. We believe that those who have been wounded in bicycle accidents have a right to a full recovery, and the legal team at Monge & Associates is dedicated to ensuring that you receive the justice you deserve.
