Cartersville, GA (December 27, 2022) – Injuries stemmed from a serious two-vehicle collision that took place at an intersection in Cartersville on the afternoon of Saturday, December 24.
According to Cartersville Police Department officials, the accident happened around 12:21 p.m. at the intersection of Joe Frank Harris Parkway and East Church Street. Police confirmed that a gray minivan and a red BMW sedan were traveling in the area when they collided at the intersection due to reasons that are not yet known. The BMW sustained front-end damage as a result of the crash and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local Cartersville responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. Multiple parties sustained injuries as a result of the crash. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
