Cartersville, GA – Injury Accident at Etowah Dr & Tabernacle St Intersection

Cartersville, GA (August 26, 2022) – At 1 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, August 25, a car accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Cartersville. 

According to the Cartersville Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Etowah Drive and Tabernacle Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. It is believed that one went through a red light or stop sign in the area. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages as a result of the crash. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other Cartersville responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time. 

All lanes of traffic were blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
