Canton, GA – Injury Accident at Hickory Flat Hwy & N Stringer Rd
Canton, GA (April 27, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place at an intersection in Canton on Wednesday, April 27.
According to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 8:37 a.m. at the intersection of Hickory Flat Highway and North Stringer Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene but told others to avoid the area until the scene was cleared.
