Scott Monge Discusses Two Tragic Car Accidents in Georgia

Scott Monge

Car accidents on U.S. roads are realities that most of us have to face at one stage or another. The United States Census Bureau estimates that there are more than 10 million accidents on the country’s roads each year. Among these 10 million accidents, more than 35,000 deaths occur—and 30,000 accidents happen each month.

Car accidents often lead to serious and expensive injuries. Besides the medical expenses, victims may also miss work, putting the financial well-being of their families in jeopardy.

If you have been involved in an accident, or if a member of your family has been injured in a crash with another vehicle, you may be entitled to compensation. Monge & Associates can assess your case and determine if you have a legitimate claim. Republican Staffer Killed in Tragic Accident

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a popular Nathan Deal staffer died in a tragic vehicle accident. According to a press release from the Georgia Republican Party, the 25-year-old had a promising career ahead of him in the party. He had worked closely with Deal as a field staffer for the party in the Georgia region, and his colleagues describe him as hard-working and intelligent.

The victim passed away in his vehicle following a rollover accident that forced the closure of multiple lanes of the Ga. 400 near Interstate 285. The car accident took place just after 1 p.m. and involved two other vehicles.

According to the report, in spite of his condition, the man was transported to a local hospital, but he did not survive the journey. A full investigation into the cause of the crash is still underway. Officials reported that while the road was closed for the investigation process, another accident occurred between a tractor-trailer and a fire truck. No one was injured in the second incident.

Honors Student Killed in Crash

News Observer reports that a promising young honors student has been killed in a car accident. According to the article, the victim was heading to his home town in southeast Georgia to visit his sick grandmother when the accident took place. He was reportedly a junior criminal-justice major and was a promising football player for the St. Augustine’s University team.

The young man was just 5 minutes from his hometown of Darien, Georgia when his car crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Ford Explorer in the early hours of the morning. Despite the fact that the accident took place in front of a McIntosh emergency medical services and fire station complex, emergency workers were not able to save him. Two people in the other vehicle were seriously injured. They were transported to Southeast Georgia Health System and are in stable condition.
