Atlanta, GA – Victims Hurt in Auto Accident on I-20 Near Moreland Ave 

Atlanta, GA (January 22, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a highway in Atlanta on Sunday, January 22. 

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened at around 11:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Moreland Avenue. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes of traffic in the area when one slammed into the back of the other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known. 

One center lane of traffic was blocked for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays until the scene was cleared. 

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
