Atlanta, GA (January 20, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a serious tractor-trailer collision that took place on a highway in Atlanta on the morning of Friday, January 20.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened around 10:44 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of I-85. Police confirmed that a tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it was involved in a collision with two passenger vehicles due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles sustained severe damage as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Multiple parties inside the vehicles were hurt in the accident. The injured parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
