Atlanta, GA – One Killed in Fatal Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-75

Atlanta, GA (September 27, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal truck accident that took place on a highway in Atlanta on Tuesday morning, September 27.

According to local officials, the accident happened at 3 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of the Langford Parkway. Due to reasons that are still under investigation, police confirmed that several semi-trucks and one or more passenger vehicles collided with each other. This caused fuel and debris to scatter all over the Interstate in that area.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Several other parties sustained injuries in the accident and were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, several lanes of traffic were blocked for hours in the area. Crews worked to tow away damaged vehicles and clear the fuel.

The investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident remains ongoing. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.

We offer our warmest condolences to the family and friends of the victim whose life was lost in this accident. We also hope that the injured parties will receive a speedy recovery.
