Atlanta, GA – Car Accident on I-285 Near Bouldercrest Rd Causes Injuries

Atlanta, GA (February 1, 2023) – At about 1:14 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, February 1, a car crash with injuries occurred in Atlanta that blocked all lanes of traffic at one point. 

According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Bouldercrest Road. Police confirmed that multiple vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction collision in the area due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene. 

Atlanta responders, including local paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Multiple parties sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured victims were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not entirely known. 

A red alert was issued in the area following the collision, and all lanes were blocked. Police urged those in the area to use Moreland Avenue as an alternate route for some time. 

No further details have been released, but the investigation into the accident continues.
