Atlanta, GA (November 10, 2022) – Several parties sustained injuries in a car accident that took place on a major highway in Atlanta on Wednesday night, November 9.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened around 9:59 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Virginia Avenue. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they were suddenly involved in a chain-reaction collision due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties were injured as a result of the accident. The victims were treated at the scene and then rushed to local hospitals for further treatment.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
