Athens, GA – Two Injured in Car Crash at E Campus Rd & College Station Rd 

Athens, GA (November 16, 2022) – Around 4:09 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, November 13, two people sustained injuries in a car accident at an Athens intersection. 

According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of East Campus Road and College Station Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. Both drivers, who have not yet been formally identified, sustained injuries in the collision. Their conditions are not known but they were treated at the scene by EMS crews. 

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. The scene was quickly cleared by police so traffic could return to normal. 

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update with new information as it becomes available.
