Scooter Accidents in Georgia
Scooter collisions are not a common occurrence on our roads in Georgia. However, when they do occur, they tend to lead to catastrophic harm, especially if they involve passenger vehicles. The truth is, scooter riders have next to no protection from harm, which makes them susceptible to serious injuries or even losing their lives in an accident. Between 2017 and 2021, it is estimated that over 117,700 people were injured in scooter accidents and handfuls also lost their lives. If you have been hurt in one of these accidents and know that another party is to blame, you should speak with an attorney as soon as possible.
Scooter collisions are on the rise throughout Georgia. There are many serious injuries that stem from these accidents, such as the following:
- Spinal cord injuries
- Traumatic brain injuries (TBIs)
- Internal organ damage
- Fractures
- Paralysis
These injuries sometimes land victims in the hospital or cause them to miss out on time in the workplace. On top of this, you may not be able to return to the daily activities that you once enjoyed before your accident.
