Athens, GA (January 20, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a pedestrian accident that took place in Athens on the evening of Wednesday, January 18.
According to University of Georgia Police Department officials, the accident happened around 7 p.m. on the East Deck exit ramp in the parking garage on campus. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was out of their vehicle when they were suddenly struck by another passenger vehicle in the area due to reasons that are not yet known. The driver of the vehicle that struck them allegedly remained at the scene.
