Athens, GA – One Killed in Mobile Home Fire on Nowhere Rd
Athens, GA (March 25, 2022) – An Athens resident has died after a mobile home fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon, March 23.
Per reports from the Athens-Clarke County Fire Department, crews responded to a structure fire on Nowhere Road at 2:25 p.m.
Upon their arrival, firefighters reported heavy smoke and flames coming from a mobile home. The crew brought the fire under control but discovered a deceased victim inside the home.
The Athens-Clarke County Coroner was called and notifications are being made to the family members of the deceased. Fire officials said that no other fatalities or injuries were reported.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
