Athens, GA – One Hurt in Car Crash at E Campus Rd & Carlton St
Athens, GA (November 10, 2022) – One person was hurt in a serious car accident that took place at an intersection in Athens on the morning of Wednesday, November 9.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened around 8:18 a.m. at the intersection of East Campus Road and Carlton Street. Police confirmed that two vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, which caused them to collide with one another. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Athens responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One of the involved drivers, who has not yet been identified, sustained injuries as a result of the accident. Their current condition is not yet known.
