Athens, GA – Man Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Crash on College Station Rd

Athens, GA (March 2, 2022) – A man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash that took place at an Athens intersection on Tuesday evening, March 1.

Athens-Clarke County Police confirmed that the accident happened around 6:36 p.m. at the intersection of College Station Road and University Circle. A local 23-year-old man was traveling in the area when he entered the intersection, causing his bike to college with a trailer that was being towed behind a pickup truck. Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
