Bicycle Accidents in Georgia

Bicycle accidents do not happen as commonly as other accidents in the state of Georgia. However, when they do occur, they tend to lead to some of the most severe results. In the past few years, it is estimated that an average of 17 deaths happen each year in Georgia due to bicycle accidents. Bicyclists have no protection from harm, which means that they are likely to lose their lives in an accident involving any type of vehicle. If you have sustained these enormous losses due to a bicycle crash, you should be prepared to speak with an attorney who has your best interests in mind.

If a bicycle accident has been caused by a negligent driver, you may find that you have a variety of options. Having an attorney on your side can be incredibly beneficial. This is especially true if you have sustained serious injuries, including some of the following:

  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Organ damage
  • Fractures
  • Paralysis

On top of this, many lives are taken every year due to bicycle accidents that could have been prevented. If you and your family are grieving these losses, you should speak with an Athens wrongful death attorney who has your best interests in mind at this time.
