Athens, GA – Employee Injured in Workplace Accident at University of Georgia
Athens, GA (August 15, 2022) – An employee was hurt in a workplace accident that took place at a college in Athens on Friday morning, August 12.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened around 9 a.m. at Aderhold Hall. An employee was working for a contracted electrical company when she cut her finger during work-related activities. Police did not comment on the circumstances leading up to the accident at this time.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help the injured victim. EMS crews treated the unidentified victim at the scene. She was then taken to the hospital for further treatment.
The area was blocked off for some time. Police did not say if work resumed as normal that day.
