Athens, GA – Driver Injured in Car Crash on College Station Rd
Athens, GA (September 21, 2022) – One person was seriously injured in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Athens on Monday afternoon, September 19.
According to University of Georgia Police Department officials, the accident happened around 3 p.m. on College Station Road around the area of Loop 10. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles sustained extensive damage in the accident and had to be towed away from the scene.
Athens responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. One of the involved drivers, who has not yet been formally identified, was hurt in the accident. It is not known if they were taken to the hospital or just treated at the scene.
