Anderson Co, SC – Maurice Gary Brucke Dies of Blunt Force Trauma After ATV Crash on US-29
Anderson Co, SC (August 29, 2022) – An elderly man died after he was ejected from an ATV during a crash in Anderson County on Friday, August 26th.
The victim was on a side-by-side ATV as it entered the roadway and crashed into a pick-up truck as the driver attempted to make a U-turn on a stretch of highway near Hickory Forest Drive at about 7:00 p.m.
The impact threw both riders off the ATV, killing one and leaving the other with critical injuries.
The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Maurice Gary Brucke who died as a result of blunt force trauma and multiple secondary traumatic injuries.
The other ATV rider was med-flighted to a regional trauma center in critical condition.
The occupants of the pick-up were unharmed during the impact.
