Alpharetta, GA – Injuries Reported in Manchester Apartment Fire on Ivywood Ln

Alpharetta, GA (March 12, 2022) – A major fire erupted at a 10-unit Alpharetta apartment building on Thursday evening, March 11, resulting in injuries and leaving many residents displaced.

The fire happened shortly before 11:00 p.m. at the Manchester at Mansell Apartments on Ivywood Lane. Alpharetta firefighters said the building was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene.

The roof collapsed as firefighters worked to knock down the blaze, leaving the building a total loss.

No serious injuries were reported, though medics evaluated several residents at the scene. It’s unclear if any victims were transported to the hospital for further treatment.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
