Albany, GA – Alexandria Soilberry Killed in Fatal Truck Crash on Liberty Expy

Albany, GA (July 16, 2022) – On Thursday afternoon, July 14, a woman was killed in a fatal truck accident that took place in Albany. 

According to Albany Police officials, the accident happened on the Liberty Expressway. Police confirmed that a driver was in a FedEx vehicle when it was struck by a tractor-trailer headed in the opposite direction. The two vehicles collided head-on, which caused them to sustain severe damage. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. The driver of the FedEx vehicle, identified as 32-year-old Alexandria Soilberry, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident. 

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible. 

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
