Acworth, GA – Multiple Drivers Collide on I-75 Near Wade Green Rd, Causing Injuries

Acworth, GA (January 29, 2023) – Around 2:15 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, January 29, a car accident with injuries took place on a highway in Acworth. 

According to local officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Wade Green Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Ambulances were seen in the area, helping those with injuries. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known. 

Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. This led to delays in the area. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 41 as an alternate route.
